Celebrate Summer! Celebrate The Holidays! Celebrate Yourself! Every Day It’s Someone’s Birthday Somewhere!

“Every Day It’s Your Birthday”—the jangling and chiming new single from Greg Williams’ acclaimed “Stone On Stone”—invites you to give three cheers for whatever makes you happy.

Propelled by a jangle-pop guitar masterclass from Ashley Naylor, it’s a 3:06 dose of chiming guitars and jangling joie de vivre, with sea air in your senses and summer on the radio.

“Every Day It’s Your Birthday leaps from the speakers with unbridled joy and optimism.” – Jeff Jenkins, Rhythms, ABC.

The new double single comes with the original unreleased acoustic version of the song, one of the ‘Unturned’ bonus tracks arriving with the vinyl release of “Stone On Stone” early in 2026.
Releasing the two versions from different times and headspaces together tells a story about how regret and longing, joy and celebration can inhabit one song.

“Stone On Stone” this year collected local and international airplay and featured in multiple best albums and favourites lists.

★ “Greg Williams is an old-school classic pop songwriter. He has a knack for crafting fine melodic pop, and I think Stone On Stone is his best work yet.” – Jeff Jenkins, Rhythms, ABC.

★ “Relentless songwriting mastery… a tour de force with echoes of Australian greats Paul Kelly and Grant McLennan.”—Chipper Saam, Indie Pop Takeout (USA).

★ “The crunchy guitar sounds of The Hoodoo Gurus and the melodic grace and vocal of the late Grant McLennan.”—Henry Lipput, Pure Pop 4 Now People (USA).

★ “Definitely a contender for album of the year or any year for that matter.”—Wally Salem, The Beautiful Music (Canada).

★ “The album is a hidden gem, made with love, wit, care and compassion… one of the best indie guitar albums of the year. Comparison points… The Triffids and The Go-Betweens.”—Rob Morgan, A Goldfish Called Regret (South Wales).

Arriving late as a solo artist, Greg is building on his timeless songwriting craft with the release next year of a double album of acoustic songs, “Castaway” featuring Ashley Naylor and Michael Barclay, as well as the digital debut of his two ’90s bedroom pop albums.
